“Threads of Thailand” was a celebration as part of the TAT 2015 Discover Thainess campaign to highlight Thai cuisine, culture, life, art and industry. Honoring the extensive heritage of Thai silks, the event captivated guests with an informal modeling show showcasing Thai silks and the Thai silk exhibition. Her Majesty Queen Sirikirt’s Thai silk initiative to preserve and nurture Thai woven fabrics as one of the country’s cultural treasures was elegantly demonstrated by elegant fabric displays of silk elephants, fabrics, and explanations of the extensive detail that is given to make Thai fine silks.
