Island Hotel Newport Beach’s Executive Chef David Man, known for his California Coastal Cuisine, is pleased to offer new lunch and dinner menus to locals, hotel guests and other visitors to the hotel’s sophisticated yet relaxed signature restaurant with its tropical urban oasis ambiance – Palm Terrace Restaurant and Lounge.

The New Lunch Menu at Palm Terrace Restaurant & Lounge offers seasonal choices for a quick lunch for local businesspeople to larger bites for corporate and celebratory dining to soups, salads and scrumptious sandwiches for shoppers at Fashion Island, Island Hotel spa-goers and tourists exploring the beauty and delights of Newport Harbor and its nearby islands.

Highlights include:

Business Express – Tortilla Soup, Chopped Salad and Choice of beef, salmon, chicken or linguini, reasonably priced at $19

Light Lunch Combo – Choice of Cup of Soup such as Potato Leek or Tortilla Soup & Half Portion Farm to Table Salad such as Island Cobb, The So Cal, Caprese, Classic Caesar, Asian Steak or Ahi Tuna Nicoise, $15

Small Bites range from The Palm Terrace Mac & Cheese and The Island Ahi Tartare to Pear & Blue Cheese Flatbread, Grilled Artichoke, The Mini Beef Burger and Mahi Mahi Fish Taco

Large Bites feature Arrabiata, Spring Vegetable Orecchiette, Salmon and Filet of Beef

The New Dinner Menu at Palm Terrace & Lounge tempts everyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing evening wining and dining on California coastal specialties at this cool contemporary dining room and its terrace. Palm Terrace Restaurant also offers expertly prepared cocktails and a special Martini of the Day. Its wine list showcases over 1,000 bottles focusing on boutique California Wines, New World and Great Tuscans.

Featured dishes:

Small Plates (Sea, Land, Garden & Flatbreads) of shareable portions, perfect for sampling of Grilled Skewered Prawns, The New Edamame, Pepperoni Flatbread, California Cheese Board, Local Charcuterie Plate, Bagged Fries Tableside, Scallops with Potato & Caviar, and more

Build a Burger of choice of Beef or Chicken and choice of wonderful toppings. The burger is $15 and you can add a pint of your choice of beer for just another $5.

Farm to Table Entrees include Puttanesca with capers, California olives, Irvine Ranch tomatoes and roasted peppers; Mary’s Free Range Chicken with organic Weiser Farm potatoes, wild mushrooms and rosemary jus; Salmon poached in California sparkling wine, spring succotash, potato puree and mache sauce Vierge; Prime Rib Short Ribs sous vide in California red wine for 48 hours; and Filet of Beef with accompaniments and Béarnaise sauce.

Breakfast: 6:30 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday; 7 to 11 a.m. on Saturday; and 7 to 2 p.m. on Sunday

Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., daily

Dinner: 6 to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday; until 10 p.m. Friday & Saturday

Palm Terrace Lounge: Cocktails and small bites served from 2:30 to midnight, daily
