Chinese Market Tour and 6-Course Tasting by WP24

Chef de cuisine of WP24 Restaurant and Lounge, Sara Johannes, and Shanghai native and executive chef of JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai, Michael Lu, will host one of Six Taste’s upcoming tours on Saturday, September 10 from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. The tour will start at the Monterey Park Chinese market located at 771 W. Garvey Ave. Monterey Park, CA 91754. Following the market tour, guests will reconvene at the award-winning WP24 Restaurant and Lounge where Chef Johannes and Chef Lu will prepare six courses for guests to experience inspired from the ingredients discovered at the market.
Chef Johannes and Chef Lu, experts in Chinese marketplace fare, have partnered with Six Taste to lead an exclusive tour.  Six Taste organizes inventive walking and tasting tours around Los Angeles and has an established reputation in introducing guests to new tastes and teaching them about the ingredients behind the dishes they explore.  Chef Johannes has worked with Wolfgang Puck for the past six years in several of his established Asian restaurant concepts throughout the country.  Joining Chef Johannes is renowned Shanghai-based Chef Michael Lu.  Chef Lu has a true passion and understanding for traditional Chinese ingredients and preparation.  His experience and culinary vision will complement Chef Johannes as they explore the Los Angeles Chinese market scene.
